First year business students from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business sought out to fix the problem of the world's house plants dying too soon.
Out of a survey of over 1600 people, 60% said they do not know how much water there plants need, and almost 50% struggle with their plants dying too soon. With today's busy schedules, sometimes our plants fall last in line for care and nourishment. However, with GreenerMe you can leave it up to us to do it for you! What is our product?
Our design is simple; allowing for a variety of ages to use our product. GreenerMe promotes sustainability by ensuring that each customer and the environment are satisfied by encouraging the re-use of our house-hold plastic bottles. We are not the first one’s in the watering market. Obviously, there are cans and bulbs designed to water plants but those aren't consistently reliable. Our product is unique in using technology to dispense the correct amount of water for your plant on a weekly, daily, or monthly basis. The user will scan a QR code and then register their plant for the correct watering schedule by entering the type of plant and size. Each device connects to our smart system that contains the watering schedules for each common household plant. From indoor palms, to succulents our system knows it all.
